Refund policy

1. Bespoke Garments – Refund & Guarantee Commitment

Due to the unique and highly personalised nature of bespoke tailoring, all garments made by Michael Frackowiak Bespoke Tailor are created exclusively for each client’s body measurements, design preferences, and fabric selection.

As such, refunds are only ever considered in exceptional circumstances — and strictly after all reasonable options for repair and replacement have been fully explored and exhausted.

We are fully committed to delivering exceptional fit and craftsmanship. Our approach follows this simple hierarchy:

Repair → Replace → Refund (only if repair or replacement are not possible)


2. Refunds – When Are They Applicable?

Refunds may only be offered under the following very specific conditions:

  • All reasonable efforts at alteration and repair have been completed without success.

  • The garment fails to meet the agreed original specifications or has an irreparable manufacturing fault.

  • The tailoring process cannot achieve a wearable fit due to technical limitations, and no suitable alternative solution can be found.


3. Refunds Are Not Available For:

We cannot offer refunds in the following circumstances:

  • A change of mind or personal taste after design confirmation.

  • A client deciding they no longer like the style, fabric, colour or design originally chosen.

  • Changes in body measurements or significant weight fluctuation after the garment has been commissioned.

  • Failure to attend scheduled fittings, or not providing timely feedback.

  • Customer-supplied fabrics that are defective or unsuitable.

  • Wear and tear, accidental damage, or misuse.


4. Design Changes Post-Confirmation

Once a garment’s design, style and fabric have been confirmed, and the cutting of fabric has begun, any changes requested by the client:

  • May incur additional costs.

  • May affect the fit, balance, or overall look of the final garment.

  • Will only be accepted if technically feasible, at the tailor’s discretion.

All amendments or design changes after order confirmation will be charged accordingly unless otherwise agreed in writing.


5. 12-Month Craftsmanship Guarantee

All bespoke garments come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects — provided:

  • The garment has been cared for in line with our care instructions.

  • The garment has been used under normal conditions of wear.

We reserve the right to assess any claim based on fair wear and tear.


6. Fitting Process Responsibility

We pride ourselves on a structured and thorough fitting process.

Clients are expected to:

  • Attend fittings within 3 months of notification that a garment is ready.

  • Provide honest and timely feedback during fittings.

Failure to attend fittings without 24 hours’ notice may result in a charge of £150. Can be waived. 


7. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders may only be cancelled:

  • Within 24 hours of order placement.

  • Before the cutting of fabric has commenced.

Once fabric cutting has started, the order is non-cancellable and non-refundable.


8. Final Assessment

In the rare case of a dispute regarding the fit, style, or craftsmanship of a garment, the final assessment will be made by Michael Frackowiak, our Master Tailor.

His decision, based on decades of bespoke tailoring experience, will be final.
